The ceramic aluminum oxide grit is a self-sharpening abrasive that is harder, tougher, and lasts up to three times longer than standard aluminum oxide, and is recommended for aggressive material removal of wood, metal, fiberglass, and plastic. The abrasive has been treated with a water-based zinc stearate coating that prevents clogs from forming and can be used in wet sanding applications. The abrasive and bond do not contain dyes, so colors will not transfer to the workpiece. The disc has an open coat, which resists clogging and promotes flexibility.
