High altitude operation can be improved with specific modifications to the carburetor. Meets emission standards when operated at high altitudes with the modifcations for high altitude operations. With carburetor modifications, horsepower will decrease by around 3.5% for every 1000 feet (300m) increase in altitude. Operation of the generator at an altitude lower than the carburetor is jetted for may result in reduced performance, overheating, and serious engine damage caused by an excessively lean air/fuel mixture. Be sure to have any modification reversed at lower altitudes.
